The Banding TechniqueCreated by super-imposing one finish upon another in horizontal or vertical bands by using identical or contrasting finishes. The technique of Banding offers the choice of relief work or contrast of color on a flat surface.
One finish is applied to a prepared base and allowed to dry. Over this, in carefully marked and screened bands, a layer of similar or contrasting plaster finish is applied. Banding or Stripes can also be achieved by using Colorwash to create bands of a different color on a continuous flat surface.
Equally suitable for use in both classical or contemporary settings, Seamless Stone® Wall Finishes can be used to create anything from bold striking bands to fine rustication lines in columns or pilasters.
